My name is Bettina, I am the founder
of raspberry.stitches and a self taught embroidery artist.

My embroidery journey began after the birth of my second daughter during maternity leave. I was at home with two kids, homeschooling the older one during the first Covid lock down and nursing the little one who was only a few weeks old.

Both of my children are a blessing and the luck of my life, but despite it I felt something was missing. I felt a lack of being myself, a lack of creating and being productive. And I totally missed doing something just for myself.

So out of the desperate need to get my hands and my brain busy again, I bought a cheap embroidery kit and started stitching. The outcome wasn´t really good, but it was the beginning of something great. Holding a finished piece in your hands is such a great feeling, even when it´s not perfect right away.

Within the next few months I continued embroidering. I tried new things, got inspired by others and found my own artistic voice.

At first embroidery was just for myself, but now I am very proud that I can share my love for embroidery through my creations, patterns and workshops with you.
